OVERVIEW
Description
SHAKE SS300 Seismic Switch is an advanced earthquake detection and safety shutdown device designed for real-time seismic monitoring and automated emergency response. Equipped with a high-sensitivity tri-axial MEMS accelerometer, the SS300 detects ground motion instantly and activates automatic safety procedures to protect critical infrastructure and industrial systems during earthquakes.
The device features three fully isolated mechanical relays, enabling immediate activation of emergency protocols such as gas shutoff, elevator control, equipment shutdown, and industrial safety mechanisms. With integrated Modbus RTU communication, the SS300 seamlessly integrates with building management systems (BMS), SCADA networks, and industrial automation platforms.
The 100 dB dynamic range MEMS accelerometer ensures precise detection of seismic activity. The built-in flash memory records the most recent earthquake events, allowing post-event analysis and system diagnostics. Two digital input (DI) channels simplify system configuration and operational control.
The 200 samples-per-second (SPS) sampling rate provides accurate and reliable earthquake detection. A built-in low-pass filter reduces artificial vibration noise, ensuring dependable seismic trigger performance. The dynamic offset feature allows flexible installation on walls, structures, or ground surfaces without compromising measurement accuracy.
The three programmable relay outputs can be configured using various seismic parameters including Peak Ground Acceleration (PGA), Peak Ground Velocity (PGV), and international seismic intensity scales, such as:
-
Modified Mercalli Intensity (MMI)
-
Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA)
-
Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA)
-
China GB/T Standard (GBT)
-
Central Weather Bureau Taiwan (CWB)
Users can monitor system status, perform relay tests, and reset triggers remotely via Modbus RTU communication.
