The ZY-30Y Precision-Controlled Seismic Source is an eco-friendly, electrically driven system that generates highly accurate and repeatable elastic waves for geophysical research, seismic tomography, and long-term monitoring. With precise frequency control, low noise, and continuous operation, it offers a reliable alternative to traditional blasting methods for subsurface imaging and seismic studies.
OVERVIEW
Description
The ZY-30Y Precision-Controlled Seismic Source is an advanced artificial seismic device designed to generate highly accurate, repeatable, and environmentally friendly elastic wave signals for geophysical research and monitoring. Originally developed in the 1990s, this next-generation system has evolved into a reliable solution for modern seismic exploration and continuous observation.
Technology & Operation
At its core, the system utilizes a precisely controlled drive mechanism that rotates two eccentric masses toward each other, producing pre-designed elastic waves at specific times and locations. These waves penetrate deep into the subsurface and are captured by remote receivers for processing and analysis, enabling detailed imaging and monitoring of underground structures.
The ZY-30Y ensures stable and repeatable data through precise frequency control of the rotating masses, delivering high-precision elastic wave outputs. Coupled with a broadband signal acquisition system, it achieves excellent signal-to-noise ratios, while advanced processing methods such as signal stacking further enhance data quality. Synchronization between the source and receivers is maintained via GNSS timing and positioning, ensuring unparalleled spatial and temporal accuracy.
