RECORDING DURING QUAKES
Beyond its warning capabilities, eQUAKE-SMART automatically enters recording mode during seismic events. It logs floor movements, top floor accelerations, and building displacements based on sensor positions. Users can monitor and analyze these readings in real-time through the control panel or an online platform.
SECONDS COUNT
Earthquake waves—P and S waves—propagate differently. P waves, being faster, are detected before their S wave counterparts. This gap expands with distance from the earthquake’s center. Early Warning Systems, like eQUAKE-SMART, detect P-waves moments before S waves, providing crucial seconds to act before the most severe shaking begins.
