QUAKEALARM – Earthquake Early Warning & Alert Management Software

QUAKEALARM by QuakeLogic is an advanced, centralized earthquake early warning and alert management software solution designed to enhance seismic safety across buildings, campuses, industrial facilities, and critical infrastructure.

By transforming real-time seismic data into actionable, site-specific warnings, QUAKEALARM enables organizations to coordinate emergency responses, improve situational awareness, and initiate protective measures before potentially damaging earthquake shaking arrives, where sufficient warning time is available.

With its scalable architecture and seamless integration with existing safety and building management systems, QUAKEALARM provides a comprehensive solution for earthquake preparedness and emergency response management.

OVERVIEW

Description

QUAKEALARM – Earthquake Early Warning & Alert Management Software

QUAKEALARM by QuakeLogic is an advanced earthquake early warning software platform designed to provide rapid seismic detection, intelligent alert management, and automated emergency response for buildings, campuses, industrial facilities, and critical infrastructure.

The system combines real-time seismic data from multiple sensing nodes to estimate earthquake magnitude, expected Peak Ground Acceleration (PGA), Modified Mercalli Intensity (MMI), and S-wave arrival times. Through centralized monitoring and site-specific alert management, QUAKEALARM helps organizations respond to seismic threats before potentially damaging shaking arrives, where sufficient warning time is available.

Operating on redundant QuakeMaster servers, QUAKEALARM integrates earthquake detection networks, emergency notification channels, and building management systems into a coordinated earthquake safety solution.

How QUAKEALARM Works

QUAKEALARM follows a three-stage earthquake early warning process:

Step 1 – Detect and Associate

The software receives seismic data from QUAKEAI accelerographs, QuakeVault edge servers, QuakeAlert displays, and authorized national seismic networks where available. It combines detections and filters inconsistent signals to identify potential earthquakes.

Step 2 – Estimate Earthquake Impact

Using incoming P-wave data, QUAKEALARM estimates earthquake magnitude, expected ground acceleration, shaking intensity, and S-wave arrival times for monitored locations.

Step 3 – Distribute Alerts and Trigger Safety Actions

When expected shaking exceeds configured thresholds, the software automatically activates relevant warning channels and connected safety systems. All alerts, acknowledgements, and actions are recorded for review.

Applications

QUAKEALARM is designed for a wide range of earthquake safety and emergency management applications:

  • Schools and Universities: Coordinated earthquake alerts across classrooms, educational buildings, and campuses.
  • Hospitals and Healthcare Facilities: Early notifications to support patient safety and protect sensitive medical equipment.
  • Industrial Plants: Automated equipment shutdown, valve control, and protective machinery actions.
  • Government Facilities: Centralized earthquake warning and emergency response coordination.
  • Transportation Infrastructure: Integration with railway, elevator, bridge, and tunnel safety systems.
  • Data Centers: Seismic event monitoring and automated alerts to technical personnel.
  • Utilities and Critical Infrastructure: Earthquake-triggered protective actions through industrial control systems.
  • Multi-Site Organizations: Unified seismic monitoring and site-specific alerts across multiple facilities.

Deployment and Technical Support

QUAKEALARM is deployed on QuakeLogic QuakeMaster servers with primary and failover redundancy. The software supports configurable alert thresholds, user permissions, emergency procedures, and system integration requirements.

QuakeLogic provides system commissioning, operator training, software updates, and technical support.

Developed under an ISO 9001:2015 quality management system, QUAKEALARM delivers an integrated platform for seismic monitoring, earthquake early warning, and automated emergency response.
