OVERVIEW

Description

The QL-HyperSpec VNIR is a high-performance VNIR hyperspectral camera developed by QuakeLogic. It captures detailed spectral images across the 400–1000 nm wavelength range. The camera supports laboratory research, material analysis, and accurate reflectance measurements.

Its pushbroom imaging design provides 1,200 spectral bands and 1,920 spatial pixels. In addition, the camera offers fast data capture and integrates with the QL-HyperBench Reflectance System.

High-Resolution VNIR Hyperspectral Imaging

The QL-HyperSpec VNIR delivers detailed spectral data across the visible and near-infrared range. It features 2.5 nm nominal spectral resolution and approximately 0.50 nm spectral sampling.

As a result, researchers can study small differences in material reflectance. The camera also supports material classification and quantitative spectral analysis.

Furthermore, its 1,920 spatial pixels provide detailed image data across each scan line.

High-Speed Data Acquisition

The camera captures full-band spectral data at 128 frames per second with 12-bit output. Therefore, users can perform detailed scans while maintaining high data collection speed.

For faster measurements, the camera also supports Region of Interest (ROI) acquisition. This mode reaches up to 3,300 fps, depending on the selected ROI.

In addition, USB 3.0 connectivity enables fast data transfer to a host computer.

Advanced Calibration and Correction

The QL-HyperSpec VNIR includes factory wavelength calibration across its full spectral range. This helps maintain consistent measurements during laboratory testing.

Moreover, the supplied software supports radiometric correction and dark-current correction. These tools improve data quality and reduce measurement errors.

Dark-frame acquisition and subtraction also help remove sensor bias. Consequently, users can obtain cleaner spectral data for further analysis.

Integrated Software and Data Processing

The included software suite supports the complete hyperspectral imaging workflow. It controls data acquisition, builds hyperspectral data cubes, and processes spectral measurements.

Additionally, the software supports calibration and reflectance analysis. Users can also examine spectral information for individual pixels.

The camera works with the QL-HyperBench Reflectance System. As a result, laboratories can combine precision scanning with advanced VNIR imaging.
