QL-HyperSpec SWIR – SWIR Hyperspectral Camera

The QL-HyperSpec SWIR by QuakeLogic is a high-performance hyperspectral camera designed for laboratory reflectance imaging and material analysis. It covers the 900–1700 nm SWIR range and features 1,024 native spectral bands with 1,280 spatial pixels. In its proposed binning configuration, it delivers 256 spectral bands, 640 spatial pixels, and at least 120 fps. In addition, the camera includes a 25 mm lens, USB 3.0 connectivity, factory wavelength calibration, and integrated analysis software. It also supports the QL-HyperBench Reflectance System and comes with a three-year warranty.

OVERVIEW

Description

The QL-HyperSpec SWIR is a high-performance SWIR hyperspectral camera developed by QuakeLogic. It provides detailed spectral imaging across the 900–1700 nm wavelength range. The camera supports laboratory research, material analysis, and reflectance measurements.

Its pushbroom imaging design captures detailed spectral data with high speed and accuracy. In addition, the camera works with the QL-HyperBench Reflectance System for integrated laboratory imaging.

High-Resolution SWIR Hyperspectral Imaging

The QL-HyperSpec SWIR features 1,024 native spectral bands and 1,280 spatial pixels. Therefore, researchers can capture detailed spectral information across the full SWIR range.

The proposed operating setup uses 4× spectral binning and 2× spatial binning. As a result, it provides 256 spectral bands and 640 spatial pixels. This setup also supports at least 120 frames per second with 12-bit output.

Furthermore, the camera offers 6 nm FWHM spectral resolution and approximately 3.12 nm spectral sampling in this configuration.

Advanced Calibration and Correction

The camera includes factory wavelength calibration across its full spectral range. This helps maintain consistent spectral measurements.

Moreover, the supplied software supports radiometric correction and dark-current correction. These tools reduce measurement errors and improve spectral data quality.

Dark-frame acquisition also helps remove sensor bias. Consequently, researchers can obtain cleaner spectral results for material studies.

Fast Data Acquisition and Processing

The QL-HyperSpec SWIR uses a USB 3.0 interface for fast data transfer. It also includes software for image acquisition and spectral analysis.

The software captures pushbroom scans and builds hyperspectral data cubes. In addition, users can apply calibration and correction tools during data processing.

The camera also includes a compatible 25 mm focal-length lens. Therefore, users have the required optics for integration with the QL-HyperBench platform.
