The Quakely-Pro-FBA is a high-resolution triaxial force-balance accelerograph for earthquake and structural monitoring. It combines three ultra-low-noise force-balance accelerometers, 24-bit data acquisition, GPS timing, local storage, web-based management, and Ultra-Fast SeedLink streaming. The system also offers a 144 dB dynamic range, sub-60 ng/√Hz noise floor, IP68 protection, and flexible communication options.

The system supports several monitoring applications. These include earthquake early warning, structural health monitoring, aftershock studies, reservoir microseismics, and operational modal analysis. Therefore, one instrument can serve both standalone stations and distributed monitoring networks.

A high-resolution 24-bit Sigma-Delta ADC handles data acquisition. QuakeLogic also offers an optional 32-bit configuration.
The standard system provides a 144 dB dynamic range. Moreover, the optional 32-bit system can extend the dynamic range up to 162 dB.
Users can select sampling rates from 1 Hz to 1500 Hz. In addition, customized configurations can reach up to 5000 Hz. Therefore, the instrument can support both structural response monitoring and high-frequency microseismic applications.
The system uses a GPS-disciplined clock with PPS and NTP synchronization. Timing accuracy can reach 1 µs relative to UTC under the specified operating conditions.
An external multi-constellation GPS receiver provides timing and positioning data. As a result, multiple Quakely-Pro-FBA units can operate as accurately synchronized network stations.
The Quakely-Pro-FBA supports several communication interfaces and network protocols. Therefore, operators can integrate it into many seismic monitoring architectures.

The instrument also supports microSD and USB local storage. Furthermore, it records data in GSEcm6, GSEint, SAC, SAF, and miniSEED formats.
The Quakely-Pro-FBA supports continuous and event-triggered recording. Its trigger options include STA/LTA, amplitude, IP voting, and scheduled triggering.
Operators can also apply independent high-pass, low-pass, and band-pass filters. In addition, the system supports pre-event and post-event recording from 1 to 10,000 seconds.
A built-in sensor test sends a test pulse through the force-feedback loop. Therefore, operators can verify sensor operation without removing the instrument from the site.
Operators can manage the instrument through a web-based control panel. The interface provides access to offset settings, filtering, triggering, waveforms, and system status.
Therefore, users do not need dedicated proprietary software for routine configuration and monitoring.
The Quakely-Pro-FBA uses a rugged machined-aluminum enclosure with an IP68 protection rating. It operates from −20°C to +70°C.
The system accepts a 9–36 VDC power input and consumes less than 3.2 W during standard operation. An optional internal UPS battery can provide backup power. As a result, the unit works well for remote and unattended monitoring stations.
QuakeLogic assembles, calibrates, and tests every Quakely-Pro-FBA at its facility in Roseville, California, USA. The facility operates under an ISO 9001:2015 quality system.
