The LTME series is a high-end capacitive MEMS accelerometer designed for Class B strong motion seismic measurements. With extremely low noise, low power consumption, and a wide frequency response, LTME ensures accurate and stable seismic monitoring throughout the system’s lifecycle—eliminating the need for recalibration or maintenance.
LTME is available in triaxial, biaxial, and monoaxial configurations, catering to diverse monitoring needs. The broadband linear response extends from DC to several hundred hertz, depending on the model. Sensitive elements are mounted orthogonally in a hard-coated aluminum housing with IP67 protection, with an optional IP68-rated version for enhanced environmental resilience.
The entry-level 90 dB model meets all the requirements for strong motion event monitoring. Even during light tremors, its data output is comparable to traditional mechanical force-balance accelerometers. However, in environments with very low ambient noise, LTME’s response fades into background levels, whereas a true force-balance accelerometer continues to provide consistent data.
