OVERVIEW

ShakeBot-100 is the high-capacity member of QuakeLogic’s ShakeBot family: a portable, single-axis servo-electric shake table with a 50 × 50 cm top plate that drives a 100 kg payload at 1 g, or 50 kg at 2 g, at velocities up to 800 mm/s and frequencies up to 25 Hz. It keeps the open Python/ROS software, layered safety system and two-piece portable layout of ShakeBot-40 while doubling the payload for taller structural frames, soil boxes and equipment specimens.

  • Built for heavier models: uprated servo motors and a wider 50 × 50 cm deck carry 100 kg at full 1 g demand.
  • Research-grade motion: ±110 mm stroke, 0.1 mm precision and closed-loop control replay earthquake records up to 150 s.
  • Open and affordable to run: GUI plus Python/ROS on Windows, macOS and Ubuntu, with no license fees.
  • Made in USA: designed and built by QuakeLogic in Roseville, California, with domestic and globally sourced materials, and supported by application review and training.

FAQs

What is the ShakeBot-100 Portable Shake Table?
ShakeBot-100 is QuakeLogic's high-capacity benchtop single-axis shake table. It has a 50 × 50 cm top plate, drives a 100 kg payload at 1 g or 50 kg at 2 g, reaches 800 mm/s and operates up to 25 Hz. It is built for university laboratories, research groups and training programs that need more payload than ShakeBot-40 while keeping a portable, open-software platform.
How is ShakeBot-100 different from ShakeBot-40?
ShakeBot-100 uses larger servo motors and a 50 × 50 cm top plate instead of 40 × 40 cm, raising the rated payload from 50 kg to 100 kg at 1 g and the peak velocity from 600 mm/s to 800 mm/s. The control software, safety system, ±110 mm stroke, 0.1 mm precision and portable two-piece layout are the same, so labs can run both tables with one toolchain.
What acceleration can ShakeBot-100 reach with my specimen?
The rated envelope is 1 g with a 100 kg payload and 2 g with a 50 kg payload. Achievable acceleration at a given frequency depends on specimen mass, center of gravity, fixture stiffness and the ±110 mm stroke and 800 mm/s velocity limits. Send QuakeLogic your specimen mass and target motion and we will confirm the operating point before you order.
Can it replay real earthquake records, and what frequency range does it cover?
Yes. ShakeBot-100 replays recorded ground motions up to 150 s long, runs predefined cosine displacement functions, and accepts custom displacement histories from CSV files. The operating frequency extends up to 25 Hz, the same band as the QuakeLogic Desktop-V2 shake table, which covers the periods that matter for building, bridge and soil models.
What software and operating systems are supported?
The table ships with a graphical client plus Python tools supported by the Robot Operating System (ROS), running on Windows, macOS and Ubuntu. There are no license fees and updates are free. The open architecture lets researchers write their own controller code and connect the table to sensors, data acquisition and wider experiment workflows.
How do I get a price, and what should I send QuakeLogic?
ShakeBot-100 is quoted per configuration. Use the Request a Quote button and include your specimen mass and dimensions, target waveform or frequency range, available power (110 VAC or 220 VAC), sensor and data-acquisition needs, accessories such as a transport case, GeoBox or structure models, and whether you need training or procurement documentation. QuakeLogic replies with a formal quotation and lead time.
