TESTBOX 1001 is a multichannel quasi-static datalogger and data acquisition system (DAQ) built for strain gauges, load cells, LVDTs, potentiometers, thermocouples, RTDs and any voltage-output sensor. Each 8-channel chassis has 16-bit ADCs with integrated sensor excitation, signal conditioning, anti-aliasing filtering and per-channel gain, and a system expands to 64 channels over a single USB connection. The TESTBOX Bridge USB gateway and EasyTest Basic software are included, so the logger records from day one. TESTBOX 1001 is a multichannel quasi-static datalogger: a laboratory data acquisition system designed for tests where the measured quantity changes slowly, such as static and cyclic load tests on beams, columns, connections and material specimens, consolidation and triaxial soil tests, and long-duration structural or geotechnical monitoring. It samples every channel at 8 samples per second with 16-bit Delta-Sigma oversampling ADCs behind an analog anti-aliasing filter, which is exactly what strain, load, displacement, pressure and temperature measurements need for clean, stable, drift-free data.
The logger is optimised for strain gauges. Sensor excitation (5 V or 10 V DC, switch-selectable per channel), bridge signal conditioning and eight gain levels from ×1 to ×890 are built into every input, so millivolt-level quarter-, half- and full-bridge strain signals are amplified and filtered inside the chassis without external signal conditioners or bridge amplifier modules. The same inputs accept load cells, LVDTs, potentiometric displacement transducers, piezometers, pressure cells, thermocouples, PT100 RTDs and any ±10 V voltage-output sensor, so one instrument covers a complete structural or materials test setup.
Each chassis provides 8 differential channels. Up to 8 chassis are chained over RS-485 and connected to the PC through one TESTBOX Bridge USB gateway (included), giving 8 to 64 channels from a single USB port. Acquisition, channel setup, calibration factors, live plotting and data export run in the included EasyTest Basic software, developed by TDG for the TESTBOX family. TESTBOX 1001 has been used in more than 10,000 tests in hundreds of laboratories and testing institutes, with thousands of academic papers based on its data.
